First post to new Poodle Pedigree Blog

I just found out today that the AKC in all their might and wisdom have a new way to incorporate dogs into their stud books.

This is call the Administrative Research Registration Program and I would like to know just when it was decided to do this... and who is paying for all the man hours it takes to research the dogs that "may" go back to AKC stock....

  1. I am frustrated with kennel clubs that actually give papers for a dog on two statements alone that a dog is purebred. That just gives way for puppy mills. No history of a dog to research through disease registries. Then they sell a pup bred from a "papered dog" to unknowing people who think they are getting a good registered dog. Then the bad breeding shows up all over the place for cheap poodles. Boy that makes me mad.
